Help Support the 2015 Annual Campaign for New City Stage Company

1967 was about change… about changes in art, in music, in war… and in love.

48 years later comes the New City Summer of Love!

"It was about exploration, finding new ways of expression, being aware of one's existence."
— Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead

The Summer of Love was THE social phenomenon of 1967, when as many as 100,000 young people converged on the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. New City Stage is declaring a new Summer of Love right now!

We are using this time to prepare for our most ambitious endeavor yet: to develop and produce brand new plays for the stage.

We have 4 amazing experiences that you're going to love and we need your help now!

What we are working on during this Summer of Love:

Scripted Sundays: Our 9th annual season!
8 brand new plays by established playwrights are being workshopped by New City Stage for future production in Philadelphia and elsewhere. We bring professional designers, actors, and directors in to work with the playwrights and start developing each play, then you the audience give us feedback on how to make the play better. Get in on the ground floor and be part of the development process.

Kennedy v. Nixon: A new play by Ginger Dayle
After the success of directing RFK and writing Hinckley, founder Ginger Dayle has been commissioned to write a new play about the Kennedy-Nixon Debates of 1960. Briefly previewed at our Fall 2014 Fundraiser, the play will receive it's first staged reading in Philadelphia in November 2015 and then go to New York for a workshop before the world premiere production in 2016.

Ripples of Hope Theatre Festival: our 10th annual season!
Inspired by our hit play RFK, this festival will feature more than 12 original productions and over 100 performances rooted in the philosophies of Robert F. Kennedy. Chosen from hundreds of entries nation-wide, Ripples of Hope will run for 5 weeks from April 20 to May 22, 2016 in Philadelphia.

RFK continues: the official off-Broadway production
Our staff is currently working with New York producers to bring our production off-Broadway and beyond. With another strong season ahead and expanded audiences and media coverage, we are excited to be one of the few area theaters connected to the Great White Way.

Your gift in any amount will ensure that New City Stage has the resources to make this summer a success.

We hope you will join us. Your contribution matters-whether its $10, $100 or $1,000. Only YOU can make it happen!
