Hinckley
A World Premiere!
Written by:
Ginger Dayle
Directed by: Russ Widdall
Featuring Sam Sherburne as John Hinckley, Jr.

March 6-30, 2014
The Adrienne Theatre Main Stage
2030 Sansom Street, Philadelphia

On March 30, 1981, newly elected President Ronald Reagan walked out of the Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. to gunfire. Only a few feet away stood his would be-killer, a 25-year-old man obsessed with a young actress and a desire for national fame. Tying in his personal backstory, the history of American assassinations, Reaganomics, and the spirit of Taxi Driver's Travis Bickle, Hinckley is a pop culture fantasia that explores one of our greatest media obsessions and its affect on our national politics.
"Your prodigal son has left again to exercise some demons."
— John Hinckley Jr.
